20, 2004 - Schaeff Lift Truck, Inc. announced today the
decision to open a component manufacturing operation in
Bulgaria.
The manufacturing
unit will operate under the name of SL Industries, and will be
100% owned by Schaeff Lift Truck Inc. SL Industries will
fabricate and machine parts and components for the production
of Schaeff line in the US.
Having one of the
broadest product lines of electric forklift trucks this
expansion will lead to better quality and will address the
need for faster response to customers’ specification and
delivery requirements.
Schaeff Lift
Truck Inc. will invest $500,000 by the end of 2004 in the new
venture. The company plans to make SL Industries operational
later this summer.
