To All Hoist E-Series Electric Truck Customers
Schaeff Lift Truck, Inc. is pleased to announced that on March
19th, 2004 it reached an agreement with Hoist Lift Truck
Manufacturing Inc. to purchase the manufacturing rights for
the Four-Wheel Sit Down Electric Truck line commonly know as
E-series with capacities from 7000# to 12,000#.
According to the terms of the said Agreement, Schaeff Lift
Truck, Inc. acquired all assets including drawings, know-how,
inventories, fixtures and tooling etc. necessary to
manufacture Eseries trucks. Schaeff Lift Truck, Inc. will also
assume the following responsibilities immediately following
the closing date of the Agreement:
-Supply of service parts
- Warranty responsibilities for all trucks made and shipped to
customers by Hoist between March 19th 2003 and March 19th 2004
that carry standard manufacturer’s warranty of 12 months or
2000 working hours, whichever occurs first. If some of the
trucks were shipped under different than standard
manufacturer’s warranty such as: extended warranty, warranty
discounts etc, Schaeff Lift Truck, Inc. shall carry no
responsibilities. According to the records in possession of
Schaeff Lift Truck, Inc. the following serial numbers of
trucks were shipped by Hoist Lift Truck Manufacturing Inc.
since March 19th 2003:
We have started preparation for production and are currently
contacting all E-series vendors and suppliers. We anticipate
that moving and preparation of product manufacturing will take
approximately 90-120 days and expect to make our first
deliveries in October-November 2004.
Currently we are also taking all necessary steps to build up
our inventory of parts in order to guarantee adequate parts
orders fill ratio later in May 2004. We take this chance to
apologize and ask for your patience and understanding during
this transitional period of the E-series product.
We are very excited about our new product addition and are
determined as always to continue providing you with the best
quality product and service.
